General Financial Literacy course

Research has shown that poor financial planning habits are at the root of poor money management. Many people know what to do, they have basic knowledge and motivation; but they end up not doing it.

This course’s aim is to teach the basic financial and economic principles and concepts of financial management. This Course is highly recommended for youth, particularly because the young people form opinions and habits at early ages and helping them understand basic financial and economic principles and concepts as they grow gives them a strong foundation and sequential preparation for handling their personal finances. 

Course Objectives

  1. Learners will be well informed and prepared to be effective managers of financial resources, enabling them to achieve long- and short-term financial goals and security.
  2. Be engaged in establishing career goals that will provide adequate income and personal fulfilment.
  3. Demonstrate an understanding of personal financial planning and money management skills.
  4. Understand personal and societal consequences of financial decisions.
